My name is Robyn~

was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, nurtured and influenced by her love of connection with Nature, creative movement and community. From a young age, Robyn has dedicated training in gymnastics, Modern Dance and sports leading her to develop a love in partner acrobatics, creative dance and eventually partner dancing in her late teens. Over the past 10 years, Robyn has followed her love and passion of deep mind/body/spirit connection, which has led her to dive deeply into Contact Improvisation, partner dancing and acrobatics. Robyn is also heavily influenced by her teachers of Modern Dance and Japanese Butoh, along with her long term dedicated practice of Hatha Yoga, which in 2018 took her overseas to India to study and train with Master Yogi and Ayurvedic Doctor Ashutosh Agarwal where she completed her 500 hours in yoga teacher training. Robyn has also studied brain-compatible dance education with the founder of the Creative Dance Center in Seattle, Dr. Anne Green Gilbert, and is trained to teach Dr. Gilbert’s “Braindance” used in schools and centers all over the world. Robyn earned a certification to teach creative dance and the Braindance in 2016.
ROBYN BJORNSON
completed her B.A. from The Evergreen State College, with an emphasis on psychology, somatic studies and dance education. She currently teaches yoga, aerial silks, contact improvisation and creative dance workshops in the Seattle area. She is working on developing dance and movement practices that foster deeper relational intimacy, greater brain functioning, heightened somatic awareness and improved functional mobility. She aims to bring vibrancy into our lives through connection with our bodies, the earth and our hearts!
